Volunteer opportunity: Homestake Opera House usher
With so many activities happening on Neutrino Day, let’s not forget our guest speakers. Starting late in the morning until our keynote speaker takes the final bow, our visitors rely on the Historic Homestake Opera House ushers to provide insight on the events at this indoor location.
Helping visitors find seats, directing attendees to available seating, and helping guests exit after each speaker will be the priorities for this assignment. Volunteer ushers also provide visitors with insights on the venue features, upcoming speaker programs throughout the day, and answer questions and direct visitors to other locations throughout Neutrino Day. These volunteers will start in the late morning and be on hand until the closing event ends, usually after 5:00 p.m.
Homestake Opera House ushers may expect to be standing most of the day, but are able to attend all of the three events throughout Neutrino Day. If you are interested in being a volunteer usher, sign up today and let us know this is what you would like to do on Neutrino Day. If you have already signed up, send us an email to add this volunteer opportunity to your request.
