When is Neutrino Day?

In 2022, Neutrino Day will take place on Saturday, July 9.

What age group is Neutrino Day for?

This event is for curious minds of all ages. With science talks, hands-on activities, weird science demonstrations, hoistroom tours and more—every age group can take part in Neutrino Day.

How do I attend Neutrino Day?

After two years of virtual programming, we are thrilled to announce that Neutrino Day 2022 will take place in Lead, South Dakota! As in the past, Neutrino Day activities take place at locations throughout Lead, including the Sanford Underground Research Facility, the Sanford Lab Homestake Visitor Center, the Historic Homestake Opera House and the Handley Recreation Center. Trolleys and busses will help our visitors get from place to place. For the best experience, start your Neutrino Day at the Sanford Lab Homestake Visitor Center!

Some virtual programming will also be available right here at NeutrinoDay.com.

Who do I contact if I notice technical issues on the website?

Please help us make our online platform a success by reporting any issues or errors you may find on our website to MKapust@SanfordLab.org.

What if I missed a presentation? Can I watch it later?

Most of our science talks, activities and tours will remain available online for a short time after the event is over.

Can I volunteer this year?

If you're part of an activity or group or simply looking to lend a hand, please visit our Volunteers page.

We are also counting on our volunteers to invite their friends to Neutrino Day! To spread the word, visit our Promotional Resources page.

Can I buy a Neutrino Day T-Shirt?

Each year, we make Neutrino Day shirts for our volunteers to help them stand out in a crowd. This year, we are also offering Neutrino Day shirts for sale to the general public at the Sanford Lab Homestake Visitor Center.
