About the Speakers
Jolie Macier
Jolie Macier is the Project Manager for the Far Detector & Cryogenics subproject of LBNF/DUNE-US. She works with the DUNE international scientific collaboration and partners to deliver and install the massive cryostats and the cryogenics to support the liquid argon detectors. She has been part of the LBNF/DUNE-US team for 10 years.
Joshua Willhite
Josh Willhite serves as the Project Manager for both the Excavation and Buildings and Site Infrastructure subprojects of LBNF/DUNE-US. He currently oversees the construction of conventional facilities infrastructure like power, lighting, HVAC, plumbing, and networking that will support DUNE. A South Dakota native, Josh previously worked for the South Dakota Science and Technology Authority as the engineering director and is a graduate of the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology.
Sowjanya Gollapinni
Sowjanya Gollapinni is co-spokesperson of the Deep Underground Neutrino Experiment collaboration and has been involved with DUNE since 2015. She is a senior scientist and the Neutrino Group Leader at the U.S. Department of Energy's Los Alamos National Laboratory, and was previously a faculty member in the Department of Physics & Astronomy at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. She has been recognized with numerous awards including the prestigious DOE Early Career award in the U.S., several distinguished awards and a Laboratory Fellows’ Prize at LANL.
Stephen Brice
Steve Brice is a physicist and the head of the Fermilab DUNE Coordination Office, guiding the coordination of the LBNF/DUNE-US Project, the Deep Underground Neutrino Experiment collaboration, Fermilab leadership, and relevant partners within the U.S. Department of Energy. Since joining Fermilab in 2000, he has held a number of leadership positions, most recently being head of the Neutrino Division from 2016 to 2023.
